SMS Hallo uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage: one item to keep you signed in, security cookies from Cloudflare, and analytics cookies from Google Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell data. This policy explains each one and how to control them. It is part of our [Privacy Policy](https://smshallo.com/privacy).

## 1. What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar feature that keeps a value in your browser until it is deleted. Both are used to remember things between pages or visits.

## 2. Strictly necessary

- **sh_token** — SMS Hallo (browser local storage). Keeps you signed in to your dashboard after you log in. It stays until you sign out or clear your browser data. Without it you cannot use your account.
- **Cloudflare security cookies** (for example **__cf_bm** and **cf_clearance**) — Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider. They may be set to tell people from automated traffic and to remember that you passed a security check (including the check on the sign-up and sign-in forms). They are short-lived and set only when Cloudflare's protection needs them.

## 3. Analytics

- **_ga** — Google Analytics. Distinguishes one visitor from another so we can count visits. Google states it expires after 2 years.
- **_ga_Z8T9DD4M9S** — Google Analytics. Keeps the state of a visit (session) for our Google Analytics property. Google states it expires after 2 years.

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. The reports we see are aggregated; we do not use them to identify you.

## 4. What we do not use

No advertising or retargeting cookies, no social-media tracking pixels, and no cookies that sell or share your data with advertisers.

## 5. How to control cookies

- Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies and site data for smshallo.com. If you remove **sh_token**, you will simply be signed out.
- You can stop Google Analytics on all websites with Google's official opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
- Blocking Cloudflare's security cookies can cause extra security checks or stop some forms from working.
