## GitLabの電話番号認証の仕組み

GitLabのドキュメントでは、GitLab.comの本人確認はアカウントセキュリティの複数の層として説明されています。リスクスコアによっては、アカウント作成のために最大3段階の確認が必要になることがあります。すべてのユーザーは有効なメールアドレスを提供して確認する必要があります。GitLabが中リスクと判断したユーザーには、さらに有効な電話番号とワンタイムパスワード(OTP)コードが求められ、高リスクと判断したユーザーにはクレジットカードによる確認が求められます。

またGitLabは、利用停止(BAN)されたユーザーに関連付けられた電話番号ではアカウントを確認できないとしています。レンタルした番号には以前の利用者がいた可能性があるため、あなたとは無関係の理由でエラーが表示されることがあります。その場合は無料交換で別の番号を入手してください。SMS Halloの利用規定では、利用停止後に戻るためやアカウントを大量作成するために番号を使うことを認めていません。
