--- title: "Telegram Number Nigeria (+234): Private Mobile Number" description: "Telegram number Nigeria: rent a private +234 mobile number for a separate Telegram account, ideal for community admins, sellers and the diaspora." canonical: https://smshallo.com/telegram-number/nigeria language: en last_updated: 2026-10-01T11:25:33+00:00 --- # Nigerian Telegram Number: A Private +234 Account for Communities and Business A private +234 mobile number from SMS Hallo gives you a separate Telegram account for groups, channels or customers while your personal SIM stays private. Type +234 and the ten digits without the leading 0, and copy the code from your browser inbox. ## From 0802 to +234 802 Drop the first 0. Nigerian mobile numbers appear locally as 0802 123 4567, and that zero is a trunk prefix for domestic calls only. Choose Nigeria (+234) in Telegram and type 802 123 4567. Written out internationally the number becomes +234 802 123 4567, or +2348021234567 with no spaces. Telegram's FAQ asks for numbers in this international order. Ten digits after +234 is correct; eleven means the zero came along. ## Running groups and channels without exposing your line Admins of large Telegram groups, church and alumni communities, and sellers who post in public channels often want their personal number kept out of it. A second +234 account does that job. Set phone number visibility to Nobody under Settings > Privacy and Security, and give members your username instead. The Telegram FAQ notes that people who contact you by username do not see your number unless your settings allow it. For Nigerians in the diaspora, a +234 account stays a familiar contact point for family and partners at home. Our [small business use case](https://smshallo.com/use-cases/small-business) shows how others organize this. ## Play fair to avoid spam limits Telegram limits accounts that are reported for unwanted messages, and a new number is no exception. Its spam FAQ says that when moderators confirm reports, the account is limited for a while. A limited account can still message people who saved its number and can always reply to anyone who writes first. If you think a limit was wrong, Telegram points you to its @SpamBot. The safest habit is simple: contact people who expect to hear from you, and let customers start the chat. ## Codes, calls and the inbox Telegram's developer documentation lists SMS, voice calls, in-app messages and login email as ways a code can be delivered. On a new account, expect an SMS. SMS Hallo shows each text in the number's inbox, picks out the code and offers one-tap copy. Incoming SMS and calls are unlimited, so a second request costs nothing. ## Limits you should know Telegram, not SMS Hallo, decides whether any number receives a code, so there is no promise for a single number; refunds cover failures instead. Telegram also connects accounts to mobile numbers only, not landlines. Keep the rental renewed for important accounts, since an expired number may be reassigned and Telegram warns that losing the number can mean losing access. Using it for fake profiles, bulk sign-ups, a return after a ban or getting past identity checks breaks our rules. ## Price and guarantees for +234 numbers SMS Hallo lists 35 Nigerian numbers at present, from $1.80/month on the 12-month plan ($21.60 billed yearly). You pay in USDT or USDC, so no local bank card is needed. Every rental comes with three guarantees. 7-day free replacement: swap for another available number in the same country, free, up to 3 times, and the new number keeps the plan and expiry date. Works or 100% refund: if the number doesn't work with the app it was rented for (for example, the code never arrives), request within 7 days and get 100% of what was paid. 7-day money-back: a full refund within 7 days, no questions asked, if no call or SMS has been made or received on the number. ## Nigeria: phone number format - Mobile number example: +234 802 123 4567 - Digits after +234: 10 ## If the code doesn't arrive Wait for the timer and request the code again, or choose the voice-call option. If the number still doesn't work with Telegram, replace it free with another +234 number within 7 days, or get a 100% refund. ## Frequently asked questions ** ### How do I enter a Nigerian number in Telegram? ** Pick +234 from the country list and enter ten digits without the leading 0, for example 802 123 4567. Local formats such as 0802 123 4567 include a trunk zero that Telegram does not accept after the country code, so the code request would fail. ** ### Can I run a Telegram group from a +234 account and keep my own number private? ** Yes. Use the rented number as the account's login, set phone number visibility to Nobody, and share a username with members. According to Telegram's FAQ, contacting someone by username does not reveal either person's number unless privacy settings allow it. ** ### Why can my new account only reply to messages? ** That usually means Telegram limited the account after spam reports. Its spam FAQ says limited accounts can still message people who saved their number and reply to anyone who writes first. If you believe it was a mistake, contact Telegram's @SpamBot. ** ### Can I use a Nigerian number while living abroad? ** Yes. The SMS Hallo dashboard works in any browser, so you can receive Telegram codes and calls for your +234 number from anywhere, whether you are in London, Houston or Lagos. No Nigerian SIM card, ID document or local address is required to rent it. ** ### How do I pay without a Nigerian bank card? ** SMS Hallo accepts USDT and USDC on Tron, BNB Chain, Polygon, Base or Solana. You can pay directly for a number or top up a wallet from $5, sending the exact amount on the network you picked before the 10-minute countdown ends. ## Sources - [Telegram FAQ](https://telegram.org/faq) - [Telegram API docs: User authorization (login code delivery types)](https://core.telegram.org/api/auth) - [Telegram Spam FAQ](https://telegram.org/faq_spam) Checked 2026-10-01 ## Related reading [Telegram](https://smshallo.com/telegram-number) · [Nigeria](https://smshallo.com/numbers/nigeria) · [Nigeria number for WhatsApp (+234)](https://smshallo.com/whatsapp-number/nigeria) [Nigerian Telegram Number: A Private +234 Account for Communities and Business →](https://smshallo.com/numbers/nigeria) --- ## Key facts (SMS Hallo) - Real mobile numbers in 181 countries, rented online — no SIM card, no ID documents - Price: from $1.80 per month on the 12-month plan ($21.60 billed yearly), same in every country - Every number: unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 calling minutes per month - Guarantees: Every number is covered three ways: a 7-day free replacement guarantee, a 100% refund if it doesn't work with your app, and a 7-day no-questions money-back guarantee if you haven't used it. - Payment: USDT or USDC on Tron, BNB Chain, Polygon, Base or Solana - Support: support@smshallo.com (replies usually within a few hours) · SMSHallo Inc., 650 N Highway 414, Mountain View, WY 82939, United States
