--- title: "Telegram Number Vietnam (+84): Private Mobile Number" description: "Telegram number Vietnam: rent a private +84 mobile number, sign in with a username-first profile and read the code in your SMS Hallo dashboard." canonical: https://smshallo.com/telegram-number/vietnam language: en last_updated: 2026-10-01T11:25:33+00:00 --- # Vietnamese Telegram Number: A +84 Line That Keeps Your Own Phone Private To use Telegram with a Vietnamese number that is not your personal SIM, rent a +84 mobile number on SMS Hallo, enter it as +84 plus nine digits, and copy the code from your inbox. Then let people reach you by username so the number itself stays out of sight. ## Nine digits, no zero A Vietnamese mobile number has nine digits after the country code. Locally it is shown as 0912 345 678, but the 0 is a trunk prefix and Telegram does not want it. Pick Vietnam (+84) on the login screen and type 912 345 678. The international version is +84 912 345 678, or +84912345678 without spaces. Telegram's FAQ describes exactly this order: country code, then the carrier code, then the subscriber number. Count before you submit: ten digits after +84 means a stray 0 slipped in. ## Let your username do the talking The best privacy step on Telegram is a public username, because people can find and message you without ever seeing a phone number. The Telegram FAQ says you can type someone's username in search to contact them, and that neither side then sees the other's number unless privacy settings allow it. So the +84 number becomes the key to the account rather than your public identity. Share the username with customers, classmates or community members, and keep the number for login only. Our guide on [using Telegram without your personal number](https://smshallo.com/guides/telegram-without-personal-number) goes through the settings one by one. ## Who reaches for a Vietnamese number Remote workers with clients in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, newcomers preparing a move, and Vietnamese students abroad who want to stay in home group chats are the usual cases. Others want a cleaner split, and Telegram's blog says one app holds up to three accounts with different numbers, so a +84 profile needs no second handset. ## When the code shows up somewhere else If Telegram says the code was sent to another device, check that device first. Telegram's developer documentation explains that codes can go to sessions already logged in, by SMS, by voice call, or to a login email set up on the account. A brand-new +84 account has no other sessions, so the code normally comes by SMS into the SMS Hallo inbox, ready for one-tap copy. ## Limits worth knowing first Telegram alone decides whether to send a code, so SMS Hallo backs its numbers with refunds rather than promises. Telegram's FAQ also states that only mobile numbers can be connected, not landlines. A private number keeps your SIM out of view but does not make you anonymous, and it must never serve fake or bulk sign-ups, a comeback after a ban, or attempts to get past identity or security checks. Since losing the number can mean losing the account, keep the rental renewed. ## Price and the three guarantees Right now 39 Vietnamese numbers are listed, from $1.80/month on the 12-month plan ($21.60 billed yearly), the same price as every other country. Every rental comes with three guarantees. 7-day free replacement: swap for another available number in the same country, free, up to 3 times, and the new number keeps the plan and expiry date. Works or 100% refund: if the number doesn't work with the app it was rented for (for example, the code never arrives), request within 7 days and get 100% of what was paid. 7-day money-back: a full refund within 7 days, no questions asked, if no call or SMS has been made or received on the number. ## Vietnam: phone number format - Mobile number example: +84 912 345 678 - Digits after +84: 9 ## If the code doesn't arrive Wait for the timer and request the code again, or choose the voice-call option. If the number still doesn't work with Telegram, replace it free with another +84 number within 7 days, or get a 100% refund. ## Frequently asked questions ** ### How many digits do I enter for a Vietnamese number in Telegram? ** Nine. After selecting +84, type the mobile number without its leading 0, for example 912 345 678. If you count ten digits, you have probably included the trunk 0, which only applies to calls inside Vietnam, and Telegram will not send a code to that longer number. ** ### Can people see my +84 number if I use a username? ** Not by default. Telegram's FAQ says that when someone contacts you through your username, neither of you sees the other's number unless privacy settings permit it. You can also set phone number visibility to Nobody under Settings > Privacy and Security. ** ### Why did Telegram send my code to the app instead of SMS? ** Telegram sends codes to other logged-in sessions when they exist. Its developer documentation lists in-app delivery alongside SMS, calls and login email. For a fresh +84 number with no other session, the code normally arrives by SMS in your SMS Hallo inbox. ** ### Do I need a Vietnamese SIM or ID to rent the number? ** No. SMS Hallo only asks for an email and a password. There is no SIM card, ID document or local address involved, and you pay in USDT or USDC. The number and its inbox are reachable from a browser in any country, including Vietnam. ** ### Can I keep the Vietnamese number long-term? ** Yes. Renew it for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months at a time or switch on auto-renew. If the rental expires, the number may be assigned to someone else, so renew any number tied to an account you care about. ## Sources - [Telegram FAQ](https://telegram.org/faq) - [Telegram blog: Multiple accounts (themes and accounts update)](https://telegram.org/blog/themes-accounts) - [Telegram API docs: User authorization (login code delivery types)](https://core.telegram.org/api/auth) Checked 2026-10-01 ## Related reading [Telegram](https://smshallo.com/telegram-number) · [Vietnam](https://smshallo.com/numbers/vietnam) · [Vietnam number for WhatsApp (+84)](https://smshallo.com/whatsapp-number/vietnam) [Vietnamese Telegram Number: A +84 Line That Keeps Your Own Phone Private →](https://smshallo.com/numbers/vietnam) --- ## Key facts (SMS Hallo) - Real mobile numbers in 181 countries, rented online — no SIM card, no ID documents - Price: from $1.80 per month on the 12-month plan ($21.60 billed yearly), same in every country - Every number: unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 calling minutes per month - Guarantees: Every number is covered three ways: a 7-day free replacement guarantee, a 100% refund if it doesn't work with your app, and a 7-day no-questions money-back guarantee if you haven't used it. - Payment: USDT or USDC on Tron, BNB Chain, Polygon, Base or Solana - Support: support@smshallo.com (replies usually within a few hours) · SMSHallo Inc., 650 N Highway 414, Mountain View, WY 82939, United States
