SMS-Activate's own website (sms-activate.org) now states that the service is closed and has completely ceased operations. What SMS-Activate's website says today
When we checked sms-activate.org on 30 September 2026, the page said in Russian that the SMS-Activate service is closed, that it fully stopped operating from 22 December, and thanked users for 10 years.
The same page says balance withdrawals were available until 5 February, and that its technology was handed over to the team behind a service called HeroSMS. It also warns that any service now calling itself SMS-Activate is not connected to the original team.
Because the original service is closed, we do not describe its former features, prices or countries here: we could not verify them on an official page.
How SMS Hallo works
SMS Hallo rents real mobile phone numbers (non-VoIP, in each country's local mobile format) in 181 countries. Every number includes unlimited incoming SMS, unlimited incoming calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing calling minutes per month; allowances reset every 30 days.
