A real phone number for Fiverr
Fiverr freelancers must verify a phone number before they can create Gigs, and buyers are asked when they first message another user. Many people prefer a separate work number for this, so their personal SIM is not tied to a marketplace account and so a travel or carrier change does not cut them off from security codes. Fiverr says the number is used for verification only. Keep it to your one real account; a new number is never a way to open extra seller accounts. Because Fiverr verifies only one new number every 24 hours, choosing a number you plan to keep saves time later. SMS Hallo gives you a real mobile number in the country of your choice, so you can create and secure your Fiverr account without sharing your personal number.
The Fiverr code lands in your SMS Hallo inbox within seconds and is ready to copy with one tap. Because you keep the number for as long as you like, you can always receive new login codes and recover your account later.
Every number includes unlimited incoming SMS, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 calling minutes a month, plus unlimited incoming calls, from just $1.80 a month (billed yearly).
And it's risk-free: if the number doesn't work with Fiverr, replace it free within 7 days or get a 100% refund.

Sometimes, but Fiverr decides which numbers it accepts, and its help center says virtual, landline and VoIP numbers are not compatible with its system. SMS Hallo numbers are real mobile numbers in the local mobile format and receive Fiverr's text code privately in your dashboard. If Fiverr refuses the number or the code never arrives, you can swap it free within 7 days or get a 100% refund.
How Fiverr verifies your number
Fiverr's help center says every freelancer must verify a phone number before offering services, because the step is part of creating a Gig. New buyers who sign up with email are asked to verify when they first try to contact another Fiverr user. Existing users can add a number under Account settings, Account security, Phone verification. Fiverr notes that the process must be started from a desktop or PC, not a phone.
You select your country, enter the number and click to receive a code. Fiverr sends it as a text message by SMS or WhatsApp, depending on your country, and you have 10 minutes to use it. Attempts are tightly limited: two tries by text and one by phone call, up to 5 code requests in 24 hours, and only one phone number verified every 24 hours. Fiverr also warns that SMS can take up to 10 minutes to arrive and that requesting another code too early can reset the process or cause a temporary block.
Each phone number can belong to only one Fiverr account, and a number used on a disabled account cannot be reused. Fiverr lists Google Voice and similar VoIP services, virtual numbers and landlines as not compatible, and asks for the number without leading zeros or spaces. SMS Hallo numbers are real mobile numbers, but Fiverr's system makes the final call on every number, which is why our replacement and refund guarantees exist.
Phone verification is separate from Fiverr's identity verification. Fiverr routinely asks freelancers to verify their identity with an original government ID and a live smartphone photo that is matched by a third-party service, and some new freelancers pay a one-time fee for it. A number from SMS Hallo only receives the text code. It does not replace or skip identity checks, and SMS Hallo's Acceptable Use Policy forbids using it to hide who you are or to run more than one account.
How to verify Fiverr with an SMS Hallo number
- Choose a country — Pick the country you live in and that matches your Fiverr profile and ID, then rent a real mobile number on SMS Hallo.
- Open Fiverr on a computer — Fiverr requires phone verification to be started on a desktop or PC. Go to Account settings, Account security, Phone verification.
- Enter the number carefully — Select the country and type the number without the leading zero, spaces or symbols, then choose verification by text.
- Wait, then copy the code — SMS can take up to 10 minutes. Watch your SMS Hallo inbox, copy the code with one tap and enter it within 10 minutes.
- Finish and protect the account — Add a security question if Fiverr asks, and turn on auto-renew so future sign-in codes keep reaching you.
Troubleshooting Fiverr verification
Code has not arrived yet
Fiverr says SMS can take up to 10 minutes. Do not request a new code too soon, because that can reset the process or trigger a temporary block.
"Too many attempts" or blocked
Fiverr allows two text attempts, one call attempt and up to 5 code requests in 24 hours. Wait 24 hours before trying again.
Number not supported
Fiverr does not accept virtual, landline or VoIP numbers and decides on each number itself. If it refuses yours, use the free replacement within 7 days or request a 100% refund.
Number already used
Each number can be tied to only one Fiverr account, including disabled ones. Swap to a different number in the same country for free within 7 days.
Code sent by WhatsApp
In some countries Fiverr may send the code by WhatsApp instead of SMS. Choose text or SMS delivery when Fiverr offers it, since SMS Hallo shows SMS and calls in your inbox.
Cannot withdraw after changing number
Fiverr pauses withdrawals for 48 hours after a phone number change. This is a Fiverr rule and ends on its own.
Which country to choose for Fiverr
Use the country where you actually live and work, and the one that matches your Fiverr profile and the ID you would use for identity verification. Fiverr checks that the region you select matches your ID during identity checks, so a matching number keeps your details consistent. Because Fiverr may send codes by WhatsApp in some countries, choose SMS delivery where offered. No country is certain to be accepted, so rely on the 7-day free replacement and the 100% refund if Fiverr refuses a number. Remember that Fiverr verifies only one new number per 24 hours, so allow a day between tries.
